As the season gets underway, the garden is looking great!
Here are a few ‘housekeeping’ items to keep in mind as the season continues:
Cleaning tools: The pit drains around the taps need to be kept clean for good drainage. Therefore, please do not rinse garden tools under the taps. Instead, scrape or wipe the excess soil from tools into your plot. Once the excess soil has been removed, rinse the tools at the wash station next to the shed before putting them back where they belong.
Shed: The shed has been cleaned out and junk removed. Since there is limited space in the shed, please do not store any personal items in the shed; keep them at home or in your plot.
Keep pathways clear for mowing and trimming: All personal items (hand tools, bags of soil, etc.) must be kept within your plot borders. Pathways between plots must be kept clear to allow for mowing and trimming.
Pets on leash and under control: Any pets brought into the garden must be kept on leash and under control. Any pet waste must be picked up and taken offsite.
Garbage: If you brought it in, take it out. There is no garbage or recycling collection at the garden. The areas bordering the fences have been tidied and are gradually being planted with perennials, so please “no dumping” of unwanted items.

Locking the shed and gates: A simple rule: if you are the last person to leave the garden, please check to make sure the shed is locked up and both gates are locked. For security reasons, we recommend that you keep the gate locked while working in the garden.
Happy and safe gardening!
